OFFLINE LECTURE ON MINE SAFETY

2 August 2022

Do you remember when we told you how the foundation's employees recently attended an online lecture from the global organization The HALO Trust ?

We were surprised that information about mine safety and explosive handling rules is actually important for all cities in our country. We received practical advice on how to conduct charitable activities in mined areas. We now know who to contact and how to behave if we see any explosive. And we decided that we should share this information further.

Thus, an offline meeting with a representative of The HALO Trust about mine safety for adults was held in a Dnipro shelter, patronized by the Oberig Dnipra charity organization.

The information shared during the lecture is important for these people, because they were all evacuated from war zones or temporarily occupied territories, and will later return. Therefore, it is important to understand what danger may await them there, and what algorithm of actions should be remembered in order to protect themselves.

During the meeting, the participants learned what mines are, what danger they pose, several times they went through the algorithm of actions to apply if they see a potentially dangerous object. The participants also discussed what service to contact and how best to convey this information to children.

This is the first lecture from a cycle of such classes in the Dnipro shelters. So follow the foundation news: soon we will tell you about the lecture for children.
