SOME THINGS ARE VERY IMPORTANT

We asked the families who received financial support from the Save the Children in Ukraine organization with their consent, what they plan to spend the money on.

The most frequent answers are housing rent, purchase of groceries, medicines, clothes, arranging their new life.

The following story is from a family of internally displaced persons from Severodonetsk. Their story seems simple, but at the same time very touching. They sent us this feedback:

"Thank you very much for the help provided to our family. Payment received. Thanks to it, we managed to at least a bit "afford" the life we lived before the war.
⠀
My children in Severodonetsk have been playing tennis since the elementary school. I regret now that when we left Severodonetsk in panic, we did not take rackets and children's equipment with us. It was not something to think about in that moment.

In Dnipro, where life is now more or less calm, Masha began to mention her training more and more often.
⠀
Thanks to the verifier Galina Loginova, your foundation, and Save the Children, we bought needed sportswear and got the opportunity to resume training. After a long break, the daughter is very tired but very happy.

Yesterday, Misha and I went to a bookstore and bought him a new book. It would seem like a small thing, but since we are IDPs now, we try to save as much money as possible, as we do not know what awaits us ahead.

Small everyday joys of my children consist of such little things. We had a family tradition - celebrating June 1, we went to a pizzeria to celebrate Children's Day. This time we still had a chance to keep our tradition and modestly celebrated the holiday.

When you are in a new place, you want to feel supported, to do what you know how to do. It gives incredible support.

Project participants are glad that they can regain at least some of their habits and hobbies. And we are glad that we really give joy to people in such moments.
