WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO HELP SHELTERS NOW?

Shelters are temporary or long-term accomodation for internally displaced persons.

As you may have noticed, the number of transit migrants who went to the Dnipro, stayed here for a few days and went on, has significantly decreased.
⠀
However, at the moment, there are a number of people in shelters who no longer have homes, they have nowhere to return. These residents also include those, who are unable to travel further or have circumstances that delay them, such as illnesses that cause transportation problems. There are people who intend to settle in Dnipro and are still looking for employment and housing.

Therefore, the number of residents in such shelters does not decrease. And we can support them.

Such things as bed linen, towels are in high demand and need to be duplicated during washing. There is a constant demand for food, tea, sweets for children, stationery, hygiene products, including pads and diapers.

Therefore, yes, we continue to support shelters based on their needs and our capabilities. And we invite you to join!

The video shows a tour by Olga Shelest, the director of the "Giving Joy" foundation, in one of the city's shelters organized by the Oberig Dnipra public organization. On 330 square meters, the volunteers managed to shelter 82 people.

In the video, you can see the kitchen, dryers for clothes outside, homemade furniture, the0 children's playroom, and sleeping places. Everything to better understand the life of internally displaced persons.
