Why is it important to help displaced persons?

When we deliver social sets (food, hygiene products, toys for kids) from our foundation to the shelters, we have an opportunity to meet displaced people, hear their stories, some of which you can read under the #щоденниквійнидаруєморадість tag, learn about their way from home to Dnipro.

Why is it important to help displaced persons?

We encourage you to listen to the stories told by Maxim, a co-founder of one of Dnipro shelters, which you could learn about in this post.

He told us that people evacuated from the combat zones, including Mariupol, were glad about "tasty water" and "tasty bread". Although we know that these are just ordinary products, they do not have any specific taste. These people have come through such horrors that now they have to learn how to live and get used to some ordinary things again - sleeping in silence, having the possibility to take shower or go to the toilet, eating hot food and drinking water without limitations.

They left in a single set of clothes they were wearing, having only documуnts with them - these are their only belongings for now. That's why we ask everybody who can to help shelters, humanitarian aid centers, and displaced persons. Each social set that we deliver saves us from a humanitarian catastroph, gives people a bit of peace and a feeling that each Ukrainian matters.
