Celebration at the foundation - the birthday of our youngest ward

Do you remember Valya we told you about some time ago?

She was one of the children the foundation took care of. Valya is an orphan and was brought up in one of Dnipro's boarding schools, where we met her during one of our trainings.

After some time, already in adulthood, Valya got pregnant. And we realized that we had to help this young woman to sort out a lot of questions, starting with the understanding of family and taking care of a child. You can find this story here.

And so, yesterday, Angelica, the Valya's daughter, turned two. It's hard to believe, it seems like only yesterday we decided to provide consultancy for her mother, and now she is already two years old.

This day was a celebration day for the whole foundation team, as during these two years we've almost become one family with Valya and her daughter. But the most important thing has been to provide much needed support for the mother and child during the whole period, starting from pregnancy and till today. And we do see the positive dynamics.

It is an incredible amount of work, actually. Just imagine, it is almost three years of consultations and mentoring from the foundation psychologist Svitlana London. We are enormously grateful that even now we still have the possibility to continue psychological consultations both for this family and for tens of other families, who need different levels of support in these hard times.
