Behind the scenes of foundation procurement

We want to share some details about the processes of buying goods we have at the Giving Joy foundation.

Each month we deliver social sets, consisting of food, household chemicals, and hygiene products, to several foster homes, who also participate in the foundation trainings, and to shelters of Dnipro, who host displaced Ukrainian families.

Each mention of the "buying" word means hard and painstaking work. Unfortunately, all goods do not magically appear in a second as we would like to.

Everything starts with the fund accumulation originating in fundraising from enterprises, firms, and private benefactors. Then planning of purchases and logistics begins: official support request, composing the lists of goods, searching for volunteers to help.

After that, the processes of picking goods at the shop and loading to our vehicles take place. Next is the delivery of goods to the beneficiaries or to a warehouse where shelter or family representatives can take what is needed on their own. An important step is signing the act of transfer and acceptance, which is later used for accounting purposes and to report to the tax service and benefactors.

Behind each photo or video with a smiling family unpacking a social set, there is a whole sequence of different actions, which do not stop even for a day, in the present war times. As only united we are strong, and only together we can overcome all difficulties and hardships Ukrainians are currently going through.
