Individual psychologist consultations

Before the war, 85% of the foundation activity was focused on educational trainings and psychologist consultations. As the war in Ukraine began, we could not refuse to help children the foundation had been taking care of, and thus we continued working with them. For some of them, several consultation sessions were enough, some require more time.

Valya is an orphan and a young mother with minor developmental specifics. We connected with her when she was learning in a boarding school and have supported her ever since. And when she got pregnant, we started the consultation process. It was really needed as this young woman did not know almost anything about the family, values, raising children, age-specific development features, parent roles, etc.

Today, the foundation psychologist Svetlana helps young mother to deal with such questions:

* supporting her own emotional state in unexpected circumstances;
* raising the child during the war, with all the specifics in mind;
* the need to have the water and food supply, packing a "go-bag", etc.

Each meeting gives Valys support and confidence in the future. It is also an invaluable contribution into development of her little daughter.
